The Home Inspectors Manual - Phase Inspections

Mastermind Groups

Mastermind groups - This department is currently under construction. Please contact me by email if you'd like to start a group.

Participation in the formation of a mastermind group is one of the single best ways to become successful in your home inspection business. This program is based on several other successful mastermind groups that use a learning format for the basis of the monthly discussions.

How it works: First a group leader - makes a request for inclusion in the program. A group name is setup and the group members are added until a size of 8 - 12 members is reached. Group members must be subscribers. At this point the first email to the members goes out with the meeting place and homework/lesson plan to be completed by the meeting date.

The home work or lesson plan is meant for the main discussion which consists of about a 1/2 hour. Then the group leader will take either general questions or have a specific question or topic to discuss with the group for the remaining 1/2 hour.

Meetings should last approximately 1 - 2 hours once a month and should be made up of members that are not directly competing with each other for the same specific clients. In other words, this won't work in a very small market. For those of you in a very small market I will be providing a mastermind type roundtable once a month. In general, physical meetings with other members is best but not always possible.

Masterminds are the types of meetings in which valuable information on the business of marketing your inspection services are freely shared and profited from by all members. Networking in this way with a small tight group can pay huge dividends and set your inspection firm apart from the rest.

This is the type of activity that expands your business profile and universe of possibilities. Some of the topics will be about what's ahead - after your inspection carreer. How to prepare for it and what it will look like. After all - this is a website dedicated to your success.
